Today my son turned 13. I hate that I had to work and he had school. That is why we celebrated yesterday by going out for pizza.

Today he wanted potato soup and dumplings. So after I got off work I came home and fixed it for him. Then we had his ice cream cake for dessert.

I ate a small piece but I know the calories are still high.

My goal is to really watch calories and try to exercise more the next few days because next week is Thanksgiving and I really need to lose weight this week in case I gain it back on Thursday. 

I did make sure I got in plenty of steps today and active minutes. I have 20,000 steps in and 104 active minutes. Hopefully that will help on the birthday cake calories.
