Day 298   My Struggle…….

Happy Sunday!

Had a nice church service today. Then I came home and had a lazy day. The hardest thing I did was go pick zucchini and green tomatoes from the garden. 

I’m planning on waterproofing the deck tomorrow. I have a few things I’d like to get done before the fourth and that’s just one of them.

It seems like summer just arrived but it will be over quicker than I like. I am worried that I’m not going to reach my goal by September 1st. I’m still going to try though. There has been so much temptation for me lately. I love food but it sure doesn’t love me back. 

I was doing good when I was in this dieters group and everyone was posting and encouraging each other. Then one day it seemed I was the only one left posting. I’m not quitting just whining lol.

I haven’t got my steps in yet but I’m going to try to have them in before bedtime. I do have 30 active minutes from practicing a Zumba routine.

I better go get walking!

Day 297    My Struggle………..

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far!

I’ve had a pretty good day! My oldest got to come home for the night. She left three weeks ago and I’ve only seen her three times. She’s been working hard, and traveling, all for her VBS job. I’m one proud momma.

I played outside with my youngest two playing bocce ball and lawn darts. We figured out lawn darts are hard. Nobody, got past one point. It’s still fun to try!

I even did some Zumba today! Which helped me get 70 active minutes for the day. I also got over 14,000 steps.

Eating was pretty good. I did make pasta for dinner because it’s one of my daughters favorite. I like to treat her when she’s home. I only had a serving.

Going back to spending time with my family now!

Day 296   My Struggle…….

I did good on Monday and I did good today!

So, I made a list of what they had in common.

1. Zumba.

2. Didn’t have to go town.

3. Didn’t have to cook because the family had leftovers.

There are the things I need to do to guarantee a good diet/exercise day. Stay home other than going Zumba class and not cooking lol. 

I made a grape salad today. I made a few changes to make it a little healthier than the recipe I seen.

I used 10 cups of red/green seedless grapes.

1 fat free cream cheese block

1 4 serving low fat vanilla yogurt ( I used greek but you can use regular)

2 cups walnuts 

1/2 cup brown sugar

Mix the cheese, yogurt, and sugar. Then add grapes and walnuts. 367 calories a cup if you leave out the nuts it would lower the calories a lot. They help keep you full longer  so I added them.

I have 18,000 steps in with 101 active minutes!

Day 292   My Struggle…….

Today, I am back to trying to do better at watching what I eat. I’ve been losing the same two pounds over and over. It takes me five days to lose them and I regain them on the weekend. If I was at my goal weight this wouldn’t be to bad. It’s very bad though when you’re trying to lose because you’re not getting anywhere.

I had watermelon for breakfast, smoothie for lunch, and grilled chicken salad for dinner. Almonds and dark chocolate for a snack. I have one snack left and I’m going to make sure it doesn’t make me go over on my nutrition goals or calories. If I start strong on Monday it helps with the rest of the week.

I had Zumba class today and I also practiced a new routine. I have over 14,000 steps with 80 active minutes.

Day 287  My Struggle…….

Today was much better than yesterday! I feel like I accomplished something today. That always makes my day better. 

I put a pitcher of water in the fridge for today so I could keep track of how much I drank. I’m happy to say I finished all 64 ounces of it. I refilled it and I’m ready to do it again tomorrow.

Last night, I binged on starbursts and a small bag of chips. I didn’t eat a lot but it caused me to go over on my sugar and fat. Stayed in my calorie range though. I managed my fat and sugar today so I can have a snack and not regret it.

I did 1/2 a serving of almonds with cheese today. Then we had beans and fake fried hash browns. I really like I can make fake fried anything in my red copper skillet. Just a little nonstick spray and it’s ready to go.

I almost got in my steps with 45 active minutes.

Day 285   My Struggle……

I woke up today feeling like I had been beaten in my sleep. I got up limping through the house. Not a pretty picture. I put on my foot sleeves and the ones for my knees and started cleaning. It took about an hour and I started feeling some relief.

I knew if I kept going I would feel better. I start off with aches, pains, and stiffness then by evening I’m feeling normal. This is almost a everyday thing. Main thing is I don’t give up.

I’ve ate very good today! I had a salad for lunch, a hamburger patty by itself for dinner, and I made protein powder brownies. I have everything in the green, and I still have calories left for a snack. I’m thinking popcorn, or something else low in fat. I had avocado and eggs in my salad and after eating the hamburger patty, I don’t have many fat grams left. My goal is not to go over the next three weeks.

I have in almost 15,000 steps with 89 active minutes. I had Zumba tonight and I practiced some before leaving.

Day 284   My Struggle……..

Oh Happy Day!

Or, I should say what a lazy day! I went to church this morning. We had a wonderful service. 

I just kinda enjoyed the day doing pretty much nothing. I think it’s because I know I have a lot of cleaning to do tomorrow. 

I did practice my choreography for about 30 minutes while fixing dinner. Sometimes, I like to multitask lol.

My eating was okay but sugar bad. I had a serving of Jolly Ranchers at church. It’s amazing the sugar they have. Plus, I splurged in a Coke life since I’m going to be really watching my sugar, fat, and sodium for the next three weeks.

I had in 8,000 steps and my Fitbit died. I have in 35 active minutes.
